My journey towards chiropractic has been a transformational experience which has made me gain a much greater and deeper understanding not just about the science and art of chiropractic, but also the philosophy of natural healing and allowing your body to do what it was designed to do in a perfect way.
Helping Others Regain and Maintain Optimum Health
I graduated from York University in Toronto in 1996 with an Honours degree in Computer Science. Over the years, while managing a successful software company in Toronto, and despite being a professional soccer player, a non-smoker, and being overall conscious about healthy living, I was diagnosed with cancer and endured a 10-month battle with this disease. This life-changing experience gave me a new mission to not only seek new ways to regain and maintain optimum health, but also to help others in achieving the same goal.
To pursue this mission, I started looking into the world of natural healing and became fascinated with the science of chiropractic and decided to pursue this new path in my life. Consequently, in 2012, I graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto.
Since 2012, I have helped many patients and, have focused on patients suffering from disc injuries, acute and/or chronic neck and low back pain, whiplash associated disorders, sciatica, sprain/strain injuries, as well as many types of headaches. Furthermore, as a soccer player and an athlete, I have also been helping many athletes with a variety of sports injuries.
My journey towards chiropractic has been a transformational experience which has made me gain a m...

I am so grateful to witness how chiropractic care can benefit people of all ages and to have the pleasure of building a family-focused wellness practice in NW Calgary for the last decade. Quite simply, chiropractic has always been a part of my life. My family regularly saw a chiropractor for care as a child, and I am convinced that regular chiropractic care was essential to keeping me active and healthy while growing up, and is still just as important in my life today! Interestingly, I also come from a family of chiropractors. My great uncle was one of the first chiropractors in Calgary, and many of my cousins are also in the profession. It is so wonderful to have people you love and trust as colleagues who all share the common goals of an active wellness-based lifestyle, as well as a commitment to educating people about genuine balanced health.
Education
I attended the University of Calgary and completed my Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in 2003. After that I couldn’t help but be influenced by the passion of the other chiropractors in my life and decided to pursue becoming a chiropractor myself! I attended Chiropractic College at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated as class valedictorian in 2007. Since 2007 I have been practicing in Alberta and am thrilled to be part of such a great health-oriented team in the city that I love.
Pregnancy and Pediatric Chiropractic Care
Due to my interest in pregnancy and pediatric-focused chiropractic care, I have taken additional continuing education courses with a focus on how to best help the moms and babies in my practice. I am a proud member of the ICPA (The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association), and am certified in the Webster Technique. I have also recently completed my Level 1 Hypopressives certification to be able to offer all the women in my practice guidance on this low pressure fitness technique to support core and pelvic floor function. Additionally, I strive to continually build a great referral network with like-minded doulas, midwives, personal trainers, naturopaths, pelvic floor physiotherapists, counsellors, lactation consultants and yoga teachers to ensure that the mommas and babes that see me in the office have access to a team-oriented approach to their care at this amazing time in their lives! Please feel free to chat with me about a great list of contacts available to you and your family.
Holistic Family Practice
As a chiropractor in Northwest Calgary, I believe that good health comes from a balanced lifestyle, and on that journey we all must make proactive choices for our mind, body, and spirit. At our office we emphasize the importance of a strong and healthy body and spine, as well as providing lifestyle counseling to give you the tools the build your very best life. Whether it means helping an individual prepare for the birth of a child, getting them back into training for a favorite sport or simply helping someone to play with their children without pain, I am always grateful to be a part of improving the lives of my patients and their families.

Dr. Joelle is a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner, who graduated from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CITCM).
When she was in junior high, Dr. Joelle started getting treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine. For her it was the answer she was looking for to reduce pain and improve digestion. While growing up she continued to be treated with TCM herbs and diet therapy and was able to live her life going to school, playing sports, and horseback riding. While Dr. Joelle was at university studying kinesiology, she broke her foot and acupuncture was what helped alleviate the pain and for her foot heal faster.
After this experience she became hooked on TCM, and after she completed her Bachelors in Kinesiology, she went on to study at CITCM. Dr. Joelle fell in love with how TCM views the body holistically, where each system affects the other and no symptom is insignificant in treating health conditions, preventing disease, and maintaining health and quality of life. She is passionate about treating sports injuries, headaches/migraines, tennis/golfer’s elbow, fertility and pre/post-natal, and depression/anxiety/PTSD. In addition, she has done continuing education in sports medicine acupuncture as well as a master class in menopause.

Mark was drawn to massage therapy because of his own active lifestyle. A lifelong athlete and former semi-professional soccer player who loves to hike, mountain bike, run, and ski, Mark noticed how massage therapy and chiropractic helped keep his body moving when he was competing. His sporting background is largely what inspired him to pursue a career as an RMT upon arriving in Canada with his wife in 2007. He enjoys the challenge of working with clients who have been in car accidents, have chronic pain, or repetitive strain injuries as well as helping prevent and treat injuries in professional and amateur athletes.
Mark believes in drawing from both his education and his own injury management to specifically tailor each session to the needs of the client. However, he also believes that healing comes from within and everyone should make it a priority to help themselves with effective home care involving stretching and hydrotherapy. He encourages his clients to seek out many healthcare options to find the formula that works for them. Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Mark had a successful career as an environmental scientist in his native Australia, including 7 years teaching in Australian universities. He took his 1st year of massage training at the Whistler School of Massage before completing a 2200-hour Massage Therapy diploma at Vicars School of Massage Therapy, where he also served as an instructor for 12 years.
